Tseung Kwan O East Point City has added a new Chinese New Year themed installation called “Flowers in Full Bloom at East Point City, Welcoming Good Fortune with the Jade Rabbit”. From a distance, you can already see a sea of pink cherry blossoms, creating a dreamy and Japanese-inspired atmosphere.
The venue includes a garden with cherry blossom trees and traditional Japanese architecture, a pink arch bridge, and a Japanese-style pavilion in the center of the garden, adorned with Shinto shrine’s sacred ropes and paper streamers. Behind the shrine is a Japanese folding screen, decorated with flowers, which is another popular photo spot!
In the garden, you can also find the trace of the Jade Rabbit. Its design is inspired by the ceramic “lucky zodiac ornaments” placed during the Japanese New Year. Each one has a different form, symbolizing love, career, and health luck. Afterwards, you can stroll through the indoor Lunar New Year flower market, where there are over a hundred varieties of orchids and New Year flowers to decorate your New Year!
