Can you “admire the moon” indoors? Wong Tai Sin Centre joins hands with local conservation platform “Street Promotion” this Mid-Autumn Festival to launch the “Neon Moon Reflection” themed event, bringing the first 3D neon moon installation in Hong Kong!
This two-meter diameter, handmade moon installation was created by neon light master Hu Zhikai and neon light artist Liu Haohui (Jive). It is mainly composed of salvaged neon light tubes that have been restored, allowing them to shine brightly once again. Different visual elements have been added, presenting the phases of the full moon, waxing crescent moon, first quarter moon, and gibbous moon. The natural cycle of waxing and waning also symbolizes the continuous vitality of local craftsmanship, making it meaningful!
In addition, the second floor of the mall also showcases new works designed and produced by Jive, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern visual elements, allowing the images to extend infinitely, showcasing the modern and playful side of neon lights, another must-visit spot!
Date: From now until September 18
Time: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Location: North Wing of Wong Tai Sin Centre
