Ma On Shan New Town Center is about to transform into a tropical rainforest, bringing the “Summer Rainforest Exploration Station @ MOSTown” theme event, allowing everyone to take photos and learn more about endangered rare animals and ecological conservation.
Must-visit check-in spots include Hong Kong’s first all-round electronic “Day and Night Rainforest Experience Hall”, with beautiful light and shadow plus surround sound effects, making people feel like they are in the Amazon rainforest, enjoying the secret scenery day and night! You can see the wonders of rainforest trees such as rubber trees and palm trees during the day, the scene of hundreds of flowers blooming at the same time, the changing colors of dusk, and the dreamy night view of countless fireflies and sparkling stars, very dreamy!
Inside the venue, you can also find characteristic plants such as dragon blood trees, spider lilies, and turtle shell bamboo, as well as a 1:1 replica of an endangered “giant otter” sculpture standing at 1.8 meters tall! The L3 mall is also hosting the “Explore Biodiversity @ MOSTown” specimen exhibition, showcasing 8 rare specimens of tropical and subtropical rainforest animals, including yellow-throated mock turtles, long-tailed tiger cats, tree shrews, kingfishers, and spotted doves.
In addition, you can enter the “Rainforest Animal Conservation Center” and use interactive games to search for various rare animals such as giant otters, South American tapirs, and rainbow-billed toucans by pushing aside the leaves with your hands in the jungle.
