This summer, even if you can’t travel abroad, you can’t miss a stylish and lightweight suitcase for local trips or staycations! RIMOWA, which frequently releases new designs, has drawn inspiration from the famous floating markets in Bangkok, Thailand, to introduce two unique new color schemes that are full of a fresh summer vibe!
The RIMOWA Essential series luggage adds two new seasonal colors, Mango and Bamboo, this summer, recreating the carefree atmosphere of tropical countries. The new colors evoke the various fruits and delicacies sold on boats along the canals of Bangkok, with the sunny orange Mango inspired by the mangoes frequently used in Thai cuisine, while the soft bamboo green Bamboo resembles the jade bamboo used locally for construction and cooking.
The handles, zippers, badges, and wheel bases of the two suitcases are all in consistent tones, and the suitcases come in three sizes: Cabin, Check-In L, and Trunk Plus, catering to the needs of different individuals. Additionally, colorful Thai-themed stickers can be added to make the suitcases more personalized.
It is also worth mentioning that RIMOWA recently released a promotional advertisement for luggage, with a short film directed by Samuel Rixon. The style is reminiscent of classic movie posters, paying homage to French New Wave director Eric Rohmer, Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte, and contemporary American artist Sarah Hobbs. Photographer Gerardo Vizanmos captured the new color tones of RIMOWA luggage in the promotional photos under the sunlight.
In addition to the two summer pink suitcases, the brand has also released accessories in new colors, including the RIMOWA Personal Bamboo shoulder bag, RIMOWA Mango and Bamboo iPhone cases, giving your everyday fashion items a fresh summer feel!
