La Samaritaine, which opened in 1970, is one of the four famous department stores in Paris. It was acquired by the LVMH group in 2001 and was forced to close in 2005 due to building safety standards, undergoing repairs and renovations. After many years of work, the renovation of La Samaritaine was completed. As early as last October, Louis Vuitton held the SS21 show inside the brand new La Samaritaine, revealing the new look of this century-old department store.

The renovation project of La Samaritaine is handled by the renowned architectural firm SANAA. The department store incorporates a large number of glass elements, with the exterior walls composed of wave-shaped glass, enhancing the safety of the building while also preserving the grandeur of La Samaritaine. At the same time, it showcases a sense of futurism and fluid lines in modern architecture.
