Tsutaya Bookstore enters Shanghai, settling in the favorite check-in spot for the literary youth “Shangshengxin Suo”!

Tsutaya Bookstore from Japan began entering the Chinese market last year. In mid-November, the first store in China opened in the Tianmuli area of Hangzhou. Then, on Christmas Eve, the second branch also made its debut in Shanghai, located in the trendy and historic “Shangshengxin Suo” area loved by the literary youth!

“Shangshengxinuo” is located on Yan’an West Road in Changning District, Shanghai. The entire park was formerly the Columbia Country Club, which began as a social gathering place for American expatriates in the 1920s and was later used by the Shanghai Institute of Biological Sciences. The architectural complex in the park is full of exotic charm, with the most eye-catching being the building that was formerly the Navy Club swimming pool, a traditional Spanish-style building that has become the most popular check-in spot at “Shangshengxinuo.”

The Tsutaya Bookstore in Shanghai’s Columbia Country Club is located in the largest building in the entire complex, with a two-story European-style pointed roof building and a row of round arched glass doors, very grand! The design of the bookstore also integrates the architectural style, trying to retain historical details such as columns, fireplaces, and adding modern interior decoration to create a comfortable reading space.

The first and second floors of the store offer a large number of books on different themes, including literature, humanities, art, design, magazines, and even rare books, with a collection comparable to a library. In addition, the store also hosts various themed exhibitions, lectures, and sharing sessions. The art gallery in the store will regularly change the creative displays in different styles, providing a more diverse experience for everyone.
