For example, the Sillage d’Hermès armchair designed by Studio Mumbai wraps a unique synthetic material containing microfibers around a wooden frame to create the chair’s fluid lines. The Sialk pieces are cast in copper and plated with enamel using stencil printing techniques, presenting a rich texture after firing in the kiln. Hermès’ Sarazine table lamp features a lampshade made of paper paired with a natural leather frame, meticulously hand-sewn with saddle stitching to bring out the beauty of simplicity in its clean line contours.
