Life needs a sense of ritual, and so does home design. A comfortable lounge chair or even a delicate healing ornament can add texture to life. Hermès recently released its 2021 new home collection, using natural and additive-free materials to create quality designs. With warm color schemes, it brings a simple and pure style to the home, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere.
The new Hermès home collection presents a unique design sense with its distinctive materials and craftsmanship. For example, the Sillage d’Hermès armchair designed by Studio Mumbai wraps a unique synthetic material containing microfibers around a wooden frame to create the chair’s fluid lines. Craftsmen meticulously apply stripes and glazes by hand, adding a warm touch to the furniture. Studio Mumbai also introduces the Lignage d’Hermès stone table, originally black in color, carved to reveal white lines, with engraved lines on the tabletop shaping a pattern resembling sun rays, showcasing a rugged aesthetic.
In addition to large furniture, Hermès also brings decorative home accessories. The Sialk pieces are cast in copper and plated with enamel using stencil printing techniques, presenting a rich texture after firing in the kiln. They come in shades of ink blue, light yellow, deep red, agate, and emerald green, creating an interesting contrast with the coldness of metal. Hermès’ Sarazine table lamp features a lampshade made of paper paired with a natural leather frame, meticulously hand-sewn with saddle stitching to bring out the beauty of simplicity in its clean line contours.
Have you ever thought about using storage products to decorate your home by organizing small items and clutter? The Chromatic woven basket, combining leather and wicker materials, changes everyone’s old impression of storage products, and the bright color combinations are refreshing. In addition, there is the hand-painted Théorème Round And Round lacquered wooden box, painted with the famous French horse racing track, and the Park water bottle basket woven from plant fibers, with two elegant Intervalle crystal wine glasses, all enhancing the fashion taste of home in the details.
Girls who like Hermès scarves will also be attracted to the colorful checkered wool. H Dye checkered wool is created with hand-printing and interweaving of stripes to create a geometric composition, overlapping to form an “H” shape. Tigre Bayadère checkered wool reinterprets the tiger pattern from the Images d’Épinal collection, where the fierce and wild power of the tiger contrasts strongly with the soft cashmere.
The engraving pattern of the spirited horse in the Émile Hermès Collection has become the delightful design of the Hippomobile tea set, while the print on the jockey’s uniform is transformed into colorful trimmings, paired with geometric shapes and lines of different colors, bringing an elegant feel to the dining table.
