In celebration of Pinkoi’s 10th anniversary this year, the brand has recently collaborated with popular Japanese illustrator Noritake to launch a limited edition collection, featuring a variety of fresh and soothing lifestyle items such as phone cases, mask storage clips, beer glass sets, and drip coffee makers!
Illustrator Noritake uses his consistently fresh and humorous style, combined with simple black and white lines, to interpret the design concept of “In The City” and create commemorative illustrations for Hong Kong, Taipei, and Tokyo versions. The product features a young boy as the main character, with the addition of 3 iconic elements from each location, full of playfulness and creativity.
The Hong Kong version of “Pawn Shop Boy” meets the bat-shaped money “pawn” sign full of Hong Kong characteristics, the design showcases the historical culture of pawnshops in Hong Kong in the 70s and 80s, evoking a nostalgic atmosphere.
In terms of representing Taipei, Noritake has chosen the delicious “soup dumplings” as the pattern design for the series, and the boy incarnated as a “foodie,” “Soup Dumpling Boy,” is holding a thin-skinned, sweet and juicy soup dumpling, indulging in the taste of happiness, with a smile on his face!
The most humorous and healing design among them is the Tokyo version of “Lucky Cat Boy”. The boy has turned into Japan’s lucky charm “Maneki-neko”, with full cuteness, and even raised his left hand to bring everyone popularity and good luck!
The Pinkoi X Noritake collaboration series brings practical mask storage clips and tote bags, designed to be lightweight and convenient. Additionally, they have also released a phone case with a clear and cute style, featuring scratch-resistant, impact-resistant, and oil-resistant design.
The beer glass set in the series is also a highlight.
