The popular Hong Kong and Japanese fusion izakaya, Yat Chin, opened its first branch in Tai Wai last year and was warmly welcomed by the locals. Expanding further, they recently opened a new branch in Tai Kok Tsui, offering affordable teppanyaki dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and chill, with great value for money. It’s the perfect place to hang out with a few close friends, enjoy some drinks, and indulge in some delicious snacks.
The restaurant offers a two-person set menu featuring Hokkaido seafood ($588), including four small dishes paired with sake: grilled Hokkaido squid tentacles, simmered abalone, grilled Hokkaido scallops, and grilled Hiroshima oysters. They are all very delicious and go well with beer. In addition, there are tender M9 wagyu beef tenderloin and crab roe fried rice. The portion is just right for two people.
In addition, the restaurant also has some new recommended dishes. Highly recommend the Triple Cheese Meat Sauce Okonomiyaki ($98). Cheese lovers must not miss it. It is a Hong Kong-style vegetable Okonomiyaki with a layer of meat sauce and three types of cheese on top. The melted cheese can be pulled into strings, very satisfying!
