American bakery Butter Cookies has opened a limited-time store at Yi Ju, offering freshly baked American-style cookies including new gingerbread cookies, Butter classic cookies, M&M chocolate chip cookies, and oatmeal raisin soft center cookies. The limited-time store also has a dairy section, featuring vanilla milk, chocolate oat milk, and cinnamon almond milk.
In addition, Butter Cookies also collaborates with Salisterra to bring American-style Hong Kong afternoon tea. Designed by the executive chef of Yee Residence and the head pastry chef of Butter, the pastries are inspired by classic American flavors. They include exclusive mini chocolate chip cookies and lemon crackle cookies from Butter Cookies.
Mei Dian also incorporates local elements into American flavors, such as replacing the smoked beef in the Reuben sandwich with rich and fragrant char siu, infusing the lobster roll with Sichuan peppercorns, replacing the beef juice in the beef sandwich with soft and chewy beef tendon, and pairing the company sandwich with fragrant roasted duck, leaving a lingering taste in your mouth. There are also classic American desserts such as pecan pie and carrot cake, paired with sweet butter tarts. Finally, it concludes with a blend of Chinese and Western flavors with the osmanthus honey milkshake.
