Located in a hidden alley off Water Street in Sai Ying Pun, Sir Berwick is a uniquely designed American restaurant. The interior decor has a retro feel, with burger-shaped stools, ice cream cone-shaped seats, and walls adorned with patterned wallpaper. Authentic English radio channels play in the background, and the menu, posters, and hanging cards all feature interesting phrases. In addition to being a popular spot for taking photos, the playful atmosphere adds to the enjoyment of dining.
The food is dominated by grilled cheese sandwiches, waffles, hamburgers, and milkshakes, all of which are sinful and addictive! The classic grilled cheese sandwich ($78) is made with crispy toast and filled with a generous amount of cheese. When you pull it apart, the cheese melts and stretches. It is served with tomato pumpkin soup, and one serving is already quite filling.
Fall in love with the Berwick Waffle Set ($178), which includes fried chicken and sunny-side-up eggs on waffles, accompanied by almond caramel milkshake. Add fresh cream (+$4) for a creamier and more milky taste.
Hamburger recommendation and beef sunny-side-up egg ($138), with a rich and savory flavor, is a heavy and flavorful choice when paired with fries.
