In Langham Place, Mong Kok, Maruichi Sushi Japanese Restaurant has recently launched two limited-time new dishes. From now until October 31st, not only are they visually appealing, but one of them can also be “DIY”!
The new “Hitohada” offers a choice of HK$278 for five items or HK$178 for three items. The five items include seven-flavored salmon, scallion oil sweetfish, scallop crab roe, pine crab meat, and scallion tuna paste, all of which are seasonal fish directly imported from Japan. The three items include pine crab meat, scallion tuna paste, and seven-flavored salmon. In addition, special appetizers such as salad and onsen egg are included, as well as Japanese seaweed, implementing a “roll your own hand roll” concept!
Maruten also turns the usual rectangular sushi into mini oval-shaped temari sushi ($198 per serving), making it easy to enjoy in one bite. The nine types of sushi include tuna, salmon, red shrimp, cooked shrimp, squid, scallop, crab meat, and sea urchin, served on a tic-tac-toe wooden frame, full of fun and Instagrammable!
