6 Must-Visit Summer Spots Along the Victoria Harbour Waterfront! City Beach Sandcastles, 9-Meter-Tall Giant Hot Air Balloons!

Recently, as you pass through various waterfront areas, have you noticed some new photo spots? The six waterfronts of Victoria Harbour will bring limited-time “Midsummer at Victoria Harbour” activities this summer, collaborating with local artists such as Chocolate Rain, Din Dong, Pineapple Bun Girl, and Messy Desk to create large-scale photo installations in different styles!

The six waterfronts including “The Connector Tamar Promenade” are urban beaches full of summer vibes! The “Water Sports and Recreation Theme Zone” in Wan Chai transforms into a western town under the sun, where you can find cute cacti, small animals, and creations by illustrators Messy Desk and Chocolate Rain!

In Wan Chai, “HarbourChill Seaside Leisure Station” features a 9-meter-high midsummer hot air balloon, with nearby animals such as deer, zebras, and hippos made from recycled oil drums, environmentally friendly and cute!

Messy Desk’s works can also be found in the “Aberdeen Promenade” themed with the dance of the forest in Kennedy Town. Inside the venue, there are Pineapple Bun Girl, Animal Tram, and forest adventure playground equipment! As for the local famous cartoon character “Doraemon,” it continues to appear in the Tsuen Wan Promenade, adding land yachts, blue and white lighthouses, water bumper cars, and other installations, turning the waterfront into a land-based water dance space!

Do you like nostalgic style? You can also check in at the “East Coast Park Theme Area” in Lei Yue Mun, which can turn into a fireworks show! The art installation created by ARTA Architects is a dandelion during the day and a dazzling fireworks display at night!

In addition to the check-in device, there will also be various limited-time activities, such as the “Victoria Harbour Children’s Self-Driving Tour” held at the original temporary bus terminal next to the Wan Chai Pier, allowing children to experience the fun of “driving” by the harbor, and later introducing adult waterfront racing experience activities.

In addition, the first “Model Bus Waterfront Marathon” in Hong Kong will also be held. The 1:14 scale remote-controlled model bus will start from the “East Coast Park Theme Area” in Fortress Hill, drive along the longest completed waterfront promenade in Victoria Harbour, all the way to the Western District Provisional Market.
