Stepping into May, various large-scale art fairs are currently in full swing preparing for the highly anticipated art event Art Basel at the end of the month. This year, the official partner hotel of the Hong Kong exhibition, Rosewood Hong Kong, will launch a series of “immersive cultural experiences” art activities in May, featuring art tours, dining experiences, luxury accommodations, and other exciting events to celebrate the art month together!
During the period from May 25 to 29, 2022, Rosewood is offering “The Ultimate Artful Stay with Ruinart” luxury accommodation package, which includes two tickets to Art Basel Hong Kong, a bottle of Ruinart champagne for in-room enjoyment, and Princess Yacht private yacht transfer service to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre venue, providing you with a one-stop art appreciation experience.
Rosewood itself has many art collections. To complement this summer art experience, the hotel is showcasing a large bronze sculpture “Pair of Walking Figures” created by renowned British sculptor Lynn Chadwick. From May 25 to 29, the hotel will host two free art tours daily, titled “Glorious Art Discovery Tour,” where art ambassadors will guide guests to appreciate this new piece, as well as other precious art collections throughout the hotel, including works by British artist Damien Hirst, Chinese artist Wang Keping, and Hong Kong artist Stanley Wong.
Rosewood will also become the creative subject of local digital artist and food photographer David Leung. David Leung will launch the food art NFT project “Beasts from Feasts” in May, spanning the virtual and real world, combining food, art, and sustainability. This series of works includes 11 authentic Hong Kong delicacies, including works shot for hotel authentic delicacies, with proceeds going towards environmental projects.
After participating in the art fair, guests can also join the “METAVISION” NFT exhibition art tour held at K11 MUSEA to appreciate over 200 of the hottest NFT artworks of the moment. In addition, the hotel will also offer free expressive art therapy classes from May 25 to 28, led by expressive art therapist Kit Shum, guiding guests to use images, stories, movements, music, and visual arts to inspire personal growth, build self-awareness, and heal emotions.
In addition, food lovers like you can take this opportunity to taste the specially presented “Ruinart Carte Blanche” five-course dinner at Asaya Kitchen. Chef Fabio draws inspiration from the Ruinart champagne estate and artist Jeppe Hein’s works, bringing artistic dishes full of creativity.
