Hong Kong’s March art event, Art Central, is now open to the public. With 70 galleries showcasing their works, visitors can take a break at the on-site café and enjoy a cup of coffee or champagne with some desserts!
Upon entering the Art Central exhibition hall, you will be immediately drawn to the eye-catching large-scale art installation “Polar Night Fireworks”. This installation uses an 18-meter long LED display to showcase the city’s night view, blending traditional landscape painting with a modern urban style and digitizing it. Another notable art installation in the venue is “Aggregation – Space 2023” by South Korean artist Park Seon-gi, which constructs a three-dimensional space using suspended charcoal installations. Visitors can enter the charcoal installation and explore its interior.
There are several well-known artists in the field, including works by Yayoi Kusama, Joan Cornella, and Takashi Murakami, exhibited by Curator Style.
After a tiring stroll, you can rest at Arts in HK Café, which offers savory and sweet treats as well as a variety of beverages. The orange-flavored egg tart combines the techniques of crème brulee, resulting in a delicate and artistic appearance.
The café’s walls are painted with Hong Kong’s iconic scenery by local artists. In addition to the four-day event, there will be guided tours, lectures, and workshops. Pay attention to the following details and come experience the artistic atmosphere of Hong Kong in the next few days.
