The SPORTMAX 2024 autumn/winter collection is inspired by the German rock singer Nico, and takes its name from her famous album “Camera Obscura”. The show creates a mysterious atmosphere with red neon lights, perfectly echoing the theme, as if leading everyone into the “darkroom” when developing photos.
In addition to German rock singer Nico, several legendary female musicians from the 1980s, including Grace Jones, Debbie Harry, Annie Lennox, and Siouxsie Sioux, have also become design elements. Their album covers have become focal prints, embellishing shirts, dresses, suits, and knitwear. The color palette is harmonious and coordinated, blending black, gray, and navy blue tones, with hints of red, sapphire blue, white, and nude.
This season’s SPORTMAX women are both tough and strong, with a soft side. The body curves are emphasized, with a slender silhouette highlighting sculptural shoulder shapes. The use of materials with strong contrasts in the waist belt creates a layered structure that accentuates the waistline, shaping a futuristic illusion. The tight-fitting jumpsuit and suit jacket draw on the aesthetic effect of waist cinching, using intricate geometric cuts, padding, and pleated craftsmanship.
One of the highlights is the dress, adorned with huge pleats inspired by origami craftsmanship; layers of luxe fringes sway and dance in a transparent decorative manner. Another focal point is the incorporation of boxing shorts into the outfit, interpreted in high-tech fabrics or black leather, paired with a matching shirt, injecting a dynamic energy into the “Buffalo” style, while echoing the cross-cultural influences of today’s world!
As for accessories, the models are wearing black, white, red, and camel round-toe Mary Jane shoes, classic cowboy boots peeking out from under the pants. The newly launched bucket bag features a patent leather body paired with metal handles, with a hidden delicate vintage-style mirror inside, modern yet with a touch of futurism!
