Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2022 Haute Couture Collection returns to its birthplace in Rome for a grand show.

Let everything start over again, Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2022 haute couture collection echoes the theme of “The Beginning”, returning to the brand’s place of origin – Rome, holding a haute couture show, starting a dialogue with the brand’s founder Valentino Garavani’s ideals.

Artisans infuse their craftsmanship and unique characteristics into handmade fabrics, transforming design inspiration into artistic creations at the Valentino haute couture workshop in Rome’s Piazza Mignanelli. The iconic “Spanish Steps,” with 136 steps, serve as the runway for this grand show. Known for his exquisite color aesthetics, Piccioli surprises with unexpected color combinations this season, featuring red, blue, green, neon yellow, purple, and aquamarine, creating a vibrant and bright rainbow effect.

Piccioli pays tribute to the three-dimensional rose red “Fiesta” dress from 1959 this season, reinterpreting the three-dimensional rose through his design style, turning it into short capes, Crop Top tops, and evening dress decorations, as well as embellishing suit jackets, the effect is eye-catching! The series is filled with elements such as full ruffles and pleats, exaggerated feathers, embroidered sequins, etc., featuring soft and romantic chiffon evening dresses; dramatic silhouettes; neat suit styles; and majestic long shawls.

At the curtain call, 102 models dressed in Chinese clothing lined up on the gray staircase, creating a spectacular scene. They came from different age groups, genders, body shapes, and skin colors, composing a hymn to the brand’s diversity and inclusivity. This season is also consistently magnificent, showcasing the brand’s skilled craftsmanship.
