The 2022 Spring/Summer Paris Fashion Week has finally come to a close, and this year’s grand finale was undoubtedly the most significant and heartfelt fashion event in history, with 45 of the top designers today coming together along with supermodels to commemorate the late designer Alber Elbaz, who passed away in April this year due to a COVID-19 infection!
At 59, Alber Elbaz has been rolling in the fashion industry for many years, most familiar for his 14 years at the helm of LANVIN. The cheerful and optimistic Alber is friendly with designers from major brands, and his departure has left the entire fashion industry feeling regretful. To commemorate this old friend, 45 top designers gathered for Alber Elbaz’s recent brand AZ Factory, designing clothing related to Alber but with their own personal style, under the theme of Love Brings Love, paying tribute to the genius designer.
Designers and brands participating in this press conference include: Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Balmain, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Christian Dior Couture, Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Hermès, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Raf Simons, Sacai, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Versace, and more, making it a star-studded event like a super fashion week condensed into one!
All major brands showcase their works in alphabetical order, incorporating a large number of romantic elements such as heart-shaped patterns, bow ties, and three-dimensional ruffles in the style of Alber. Each piece is filled with Alber’s shadow, as if seeing Alber bidding farewell to each designer friend, creating an unforgettable romantic farewell.
