Dior presented the latest 2021/22 Fall/Winter Haute Couture collection last night at 8:30 PM Hong Kong time. Prior to the event, the brand released two teaser videos with embroidery as the main theme, signaling that this couture collection will incorporate a significant amount of embroidery elements highlighting the brand’s craftsmanship. As a result, Maria Grazia Chiuri once again delivered a stunning visual feast of craftsmanship that did not disappoint!
The Dior Couture show took place at the Musée Rodin in Paris, where Creative Director of Women’s Fashion Maria Grazia Chiuri specially invited French artist Éva Jospin to create a large-scale embroidered mural for the venue, injecting an artistic atmosphere into the entire presentation, making you feel like you are stepping into the heart of Dior craftsmanship.
75 sets of 2021/22 autumn/winter haute couture designs present a beautiful goddess-like texture. Maria Grazia Chiuri first led everyone from modernity into the elegant world of haute couture with a few soft tweed designs in gray tones, embellished with feather details on oversized coats, high-waisted skirts with mesh materials, and chiffon shirts paired with black and white herringbone tweed dresses, all fully showcasing the designer’s subtle balance of material effects.
After presenting a variety of soft plaid designs, Maria Grazia Chiuri naturally presents a variety of sharp tailored coats for this fall/winter haute couture collection, with a cinched waist belt, large lapels, and cape-like shoulder details, injecting these coats with a sense of design. In addition, there are eye-catching printed garments, with brown and black base colors paired with orange-yellow prints, eye-catching yet without any sense of discord.
At the end of the grand show, of course, there were plenty of ethereal haute couture dresses. With chiffon as the main focus, the nude color palette combined with the sexy sheer effect created a screen full of goddess vibes. In addition to chiffon, Maria Grazia Chiuri also crafted several dark-colored dresses with silk fabric, featuring pleats and intricate lace designs on the shoulders, still exuding a noble and elegant feel. The final haute couture wedding dress made everyone marvel at the brand’s meticulous craftsmanship, with three-dimensional embroidery added to the sheer fabric, creating embroidery details that seemed to float in the air, swaying elegantly with the models’ steps, creating a truly romantic and beautiful effect!
