In difficult times, we must face challenges head-on. This is the important message I realized after appreciating the Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2021 show. Despite the constraints of the pandemic, Miu Miu still showcased bold colors and creativity, presenting a total of 51 looks on the mountains of Cortina d’Ampezzo in northern Italy.
The series theme is “Brave Hearts,” and in the high-altitude outdoor environment, a fashion show was completed. Miu Miu itself is synonymous with bravery.
In the snowy mountains, keeping warm is essential. Models are dressed in various ski suits, padded coats, furry snow boots, scarves, beanies… Vibrant colors like sky blue, pink, lavender, etc., are used, creating a healing and clear contrast against the clear white snow under the blue sky.
But the determination of Miu Miu girls who love freedom and independence will always exceed your imagination. Even in the snowy mountains, the romantic and girly dresses, bikinis, bling bling suspender skirts, sheer tops… can still be seen, embodying the romantic spirit of Miu Miu. Paired with thick gloves, furry boots, and furry handbags, the contrast of light and heavy brings another fashionable look.
Arriving at the end of the fashion show, the models set up a campfire on the snowy ground after sunset, facing the vast mountains all around. Their eyes were bright, remaining calm and composed even in the face of environmental challenges. The cold wind and white snow couldn’t stop the Miu Miu girls from staying true to themselves, perhaps this is the important message that Miuccia Prada wanted to convey through this season’s Miu Miu collection.
