Milan Fashion Week officially kicked off under the pandemic, presenting a long-awaited and beautiful 2021 Spring/Summer men’s and women’s collection show by Fendi. The show featured a clean homey vibe, with sheer curtains gently swaying, creating a cozy atmosphere mimicking sunlight streaming indoors. Due to social distancing measures, the venue, which could originally accommodate 1,500 people, only invited 130 guests, adding a sense of ethereality to the space.
Silvia Venturini Fendi presented 68 new men’s and women’s outfits, with a few pieces that echo the window shadows of the venue, featuring sheer and flowing chiffon. Light materials, soft tones, and minimalist designs create a sense of casual elegance.
Afterwards, the fashion show remained harmonious. A large number of pure white and light blue designs intertwined with each other, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere like a blue sky and white clouds. Cotton and linen fabrics, satin materials run through the entire series, combined with hollowed-out flowers, light-colored lace, cut-out embroidery, and crochet details, making the stiff and tough tailoring soft.
Amidst a soft palette, Silvia Venturini Fendi also inserted some designs with striking color combinations, such as bright red and sky blue, creating a vivid contrast. Additionally, there are several red, gray, and black outfits that balance the overall pure and dreamy collection, providing girls with options that feel more bold and strong, apart from the clean and harmonious ones.
