Dior Cruise 2021 soothes the soul with fashion.

The pandemic has caused many fashion shows to be rescheduled or canceled. How long has it been since you last saw an exciting fashion show? How much do you long to see professional models walking on the fashion runway again? Dior’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, deeply understands the feelings of fashion enthusiasts. In the early hours of this morning, she presented a Dior Cruise 2021 show that will surely be unforgettable and absolutely spectacular!

Maria Grazia Chiuri moved the Dior 2021 early spring resort collection presentation to the Piazza del Duomo in the southern Italian city of Lecce, inviting artist Marinella Senatore to illuminate the square with 30,000 LED light bulbs, turning it into a glowing and shining dreamland in the dark night. To enhance the atmosphere, musicians, symphony orchestras, and dancers were also invited to perform on-site, creating a splendid yet slightly mysterious ambiance.

This Dior 2021 early spring resort collection brings together 90 sets of high-end fashion with comfort in mind. The collection is inspired by the book “Sud e Magia” by Italian anthropologist Ernesto De Martino, which mentions the ancient healing ritual Pizzica Tarantata in the southern part of Italy after World War II. At that time, people found solace and hope in this ritual, and Maria Grazia Chiuri hopes this collection also exudes a positive energy atmosphere.

A set of exotic clothing, including: printed chiffon skirts with fringe details, apron-style jumpsuits, leather wide belts paired with vintage white jumpsuits, and more. Models also wear headscarves and flat knee-high boots, bringing a comfortable everyday feel to the ethereal dresses.

Maria Grazia Chiuri brought in local artisans to incorporate rare tombolo embroidery into the designs, and also invited the Le Constantine Foundation to oversee a series of shuttle-woven pieces, adding traditional craftsmanship from the southern regions of Italy to Cruise 2021, creating designs that are poetic and beautifully blended with different cultural combinations.
