Louis Vuitton is pushing its bag collection for 2023! The GO-14 handbag is making a strong comeback.

Although it is still August and the weather has not yet started to cool down, major brands have already launched their autumn/winter collections, and new handbag styles have also been introduced. Louis Vuitton handbags have always been sought after by women, with classic styles constantly being updated. Among them, the Louis Vuitton GO-14 handbag, which has made a comeback this year, is worth paying attention to!

GO-14, designed by women’s art director Nicolas Ghesquière, made its debut at the Spring/Summer 2015 women’s fashion show. The name of the handbag represents “Ghesquière October 2014,” the date of his first Louis Vuitton fashion show. Nicolas Ghesquière has re-explored this handbag this year, giving it a classic Malletage diamond design interpretation, showcasing elements of understated luxury. The handbag has been appearing continuously in the early autumn and autumn/winter collections of 2023, becoming a highly promoted bag for the brand this year! Hyein from the new girl group NewJeans was the first to try out the cute pink style.

  • GO-14 focuses on the intersecting lines of Malletage, which is inspired by Louis Vuitton’s long history of luggage craftsmanship. The handbag is made of lambskin, with elastic and soft Malletage diamonds embellishing the surface, and delicate stitching highlighting the three-dimensional curves, creating a cushioned texture. It is further adorned with the iconic gold LV Twist lock, making it a noble and charming lambskin padded handbag.

The process of making a handbag involves over 20 different steps, including precise dyeing techniques to ensure a satin or baked texture, and to perfectly present the subtle color gradient effect. In addition, the arched Malletage pattern on each GO-14 handbag also requires a 17-meter long trim, which must be done with extremely precise techniques. Compared to traditional stitching techniques, the handmade craftsmanship involved is more complex, and the perfect details reflect the exquisite skills of each workshop.

GO-14 handbags offer a variety of sizes and color options, from sleek black and white to delicate and elegant shades. Each color cleverly enhances the exquisite texture. The top is equipped with handles and a chain strap. The handles can be used for carrying by hand, or they can be transformed into a leather shoulder pad on the chain strap, making it more comfortable to wear on the shoulder or diagonally, meeting different needs for different occasions.
