Bottega Veneta, known for its understated aesthetics and exquisite leather craftsmanship, presents the Kalimero bag for the first time in the 2022 autumn/winter collection under the direction of new creative director Matthieu Blazy, bringing a new chapter to the brand’s woven leather craftsmanship.
This Kalimero, personally designed by Matthieu Blazy, is one of the brand’s key bag styles for the new season. The versatile bucket bag shape, made of soft top-grade calf leather, features the standout Intreccio weaving technique, with no visible seams, showcasing the brand’s concept of luxury and practicality.
Its unique strap design is also a highlight, with metal buckle details making the carrying method flexible and versatile, allowing it to change according to the wearer’s style and mood of the day. It can be casually placed directly behind or the straps can be looped through the buckle to create a circle, serving as a handbag. The bag offers a subtle and restrained color selection, including: burgundy, cream yellow, brown, white, injecting a calm and fashionable atmosphere into the look.
British pop star Dua Lipa and actress Julianne Moore have already demonstrated the Kalimero handbag. Dua Lipa paired it with Bottega Veneta’s autumn/winter new collection, showcasing simple and stylish charm; Julianne Moore chose the cream-colored Kalimero to brighten up an understated black outfit.
