This mini-series draws inspiration from the wonders of nature, using the versatile and iconic top handle style as a blueprint to create 4 limited edition BVLGARI Serpenti handbags. Known as the “Queen of Prints,” Mary Katrantzou uses the structured bag body as a canvas for creativity, incorporating 3D optical illusion embroidery to showcase a world of lush green gardens, blooming flowers, and captivating creatures. All processes are completed by master craftsmen from the Paris Atelier Montex, making it a perfect blend of jewelry-inspired design, leather craftsmanship, and high fashion artistry.
The inspiration for the BVLGARI Serpenti Opulent Garden of Eden handbag comes from a legendary “Bib” necklace from the BVLGARI Heritage collection in 2005, celebrating the most vibrant colors of nature and its intricate craftsmanship through the enchanting charm of gemstones. The elaborate decoration is composed of yellow gold elements and colored gemstones such as yellow crystals, aquamarines, pink quartz, and amethysts, presented through over 420 crystals and approximately 3,300 glass elements. This handbag is completed by skilled craftsmen in 120 hours.
On the BVLGARI Serpenti Tree of Life handbag, the brand’s high jewelry elements cascade down from the Tree of Life as if they were precious fruits, the tree symbolizing unparalleled aesthetics and a source of inspiration.
