LOEWE The LOEWE Spring/Summer 2022 women’s collection was recently unveiled at Paris Fashion Week, with Creative Director Jonathan Anderson bringing experimental designs to meet the expectations of fashion enthusiasts. Just when you thought dresses with metal breastplates, distorted denim jackets, and exaggeratedly proportioned tops were edgy enough, take a closer look at the models on the runway, only to find them stepping out in “soap,” “roses,” and “eggs”?
Jonathan Anderson draws inspiration from the extreme formalism of the Renaissance painter Pontormo, initiating a “neurotic, psychedelic, extremely excited” fashion experiment in response to the post-pandemic era we are living in. This playful and dynamic design style is also found in LOEWE’s new season shoes, with a focus on heels adorned with shapes like soap, candles, eggs, nail polish, and roses, exuding a sense of casual spontaneity in such eye-catching and exaggerated decorations!
The unique design of the shoes completely breaks the imagination, and Jonathan Anderson turns these seemingly fragile everyday objects into heels that support the entire center of gravity, highlighting the playfulness by contrast.
In addition to such “surreal” fun shoes, LOEWE also introduces a new style of Flow sneakers with decomposable plastic materials. In addition, there are short boots made of long plush fabric, with the plush hanging softly at the ankle adding a winter atmosphere, while also responding to a forward-looking new fashion form.
