If you’ve recently strolled through Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, you’ll notice that the TOD’S boutique has a brand new look! Designed by New York architectural firm Bonetti / Kozerski, the decor style mirrors that of TOD’S flagship stores in Miami and New York’s Hudson Yards, while also showcasing this season’s trendy handbags.
The approximately 178 square meter specialty store has been adorned with luxurious Italian marble floors, complemented by chrome display racks and white limestone display tables, showcasing a variety of shoes and handbags, while Vacchetta leather covers the walls, revealing the brand’s respect for art and craftsmanship.
The newly designed flagship store features 3 special installations, including a guitar and piano in the store windows, as well as a jazz drum set in the center of the store, playing the theme “The Song” of this season’s collection, echoing TOD’S clean lines, exquisite washing, and vintage design elements.
In addition to the brand new decor, you can also find the newly launched 2021 spring/summer collection of bags at the specialty store, with the focus on the woven handbags celebrating the reopening of the Harbour City branch. With 4 summer colors, paired with handcrafted oval leather handles and detachable shoulder straps, exuding a casual vacation vibe.
As for TOD’S classic “Gommino” element, it can be found in this season’s bucket bag. The bright and eye-catching color combinations, along with the three-dimensional silhouette, are subtly adorned with special rubber studs at the bottom of the bucket bag. There are also woven-style Gommino bucket bags, equally full of fashionable playfulness.
The highlight of the SHIRT HOBO handbag is its unique crescent-shaped silhouette, while the soft material brings more elastic storage space, without reducing fashion sense, and feels light to carry.
Another popular bag model, T Timeles, brings more new styles this season, and the exquisite and compact waist bag is the highlight of the series, representing the brand’s iconic “T” letter transformed into a metal buckle, stylish and eye-catching. The detachable shoulder strap can also transform the waist bag into a handbag, bringing different ways to wear it.
As for the classic Oboe in the extra-large size, in addition to the classic solid color options, the 2021 spring/summer collection also introduces a version that combines wine coconut leaf fiber with smooth leather, full of summer vacation vibes.
