When it comes to Valentino, the most well-known fashion element is undoubtedly the studs, and this iconic design has been enlarged recently, making its debut in the all-new Valentino Garavani Roman Stud oversized bag! The oversized studs adorn the compact handbag, exuding elegance and personality, no wonder fashion icons like Lady Gaga, Jessica, and Shu Qi can’t wait to carry it, believing it has the potential to be a summer hit!
This large studded bag is a new piece presented at the Valentino Collezione Milano Spring/Summer 2021 fashion show, and is another masterpiece in Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Rockstud series. The bag is made of soft Napa lambskin paired with quilted diamond patterns and oversized studs, along with a detachable leather shoulder strap, antique brass-tone metal chain embellishments, and other intricate details, showcasing a romantic punk rock style.
Each handbag is sewn with over a meter of leather, taking about five hours to complete. The processed leather has a soft touch, and craftsmen use ironing techniques to give the leather a shiny effect, then individually embed 28 rivets on the handbag and leather shoulder strap. The Valentino rivets, as if placed under a magnifying glass, present a larger shape, and the pyramidal surface reflects a dazzling fashion glow.
