To celebrate the brand’s 100th anniversary, Gucci brings the Beloved classic love series featuring four handbag styles, recently releasing designs with gemstone-colored leather. Creative director Alessandro Michele’s surprise for everyone is not just this, but also collaborating with artist, photographer, and filmmaker Harmony Korine to create the Gucci Beloved talk show, which is unexpected!
The Gucci Beloved talk show is hosted by James Corden, featuring stars like Awkwafina, Dakota Johnson, Diane Keaton, Harry Styles, Sienna Miller, and their beloved Gucci Beloved handbags, discussing their recent lives. It is believed that everyone has guessed that this late-night talk show is actually a series of advertising campaigns. Alessandro Michele stated that the inspiration for creating the show came from his belief that handbags are the main characters in many people’s lives, and most of the handbags in the series are named after influential women. Therefore, these distinctive handbags, appearing on the show with celebrities, interpret the concept of two “stars” appearing together.
As for the four bags that made their appearance in the talk show, each one is a piece where Alessandro Michele looks back on the brand’s past and interprets classic elements in fashion design. The key pieces in the collection include the Gucci Horsebit 1955, with a double-ring bar design reminiscent of a horse bit, interpreting the brand’s heritage and equestrian sports origins. The Dionysus handbag, inspired by Greek mythology, is adorned with double tiger head carvings.
Beloved classic love series also brings the GG Marmont with the brand name abbreviation, as well as the Jackie 1961 handbag with a half-moon shaped body and unique metal clasp, writing a milestone for the brand’s 100th anniversary with a fashion design that spans the ages.
