Every fashion brand has some extremely popular classic handbag styles, and one of Balenciaga’s flagship works is the City Bag, known as the “motorcycle bag,” which was launched in 2000 and has been loved by women for many years.
Just as City Bag turns 20, brand creative director Demna Gvasali gave this bag from former designer Nicolas Ghesquière a major overhaul, bringing a new design to City Bag and naming it Neo Classic, first unveiled at the 2020 autumn/winter fashion show!
This new Neo Classic model is different from the previous minor updates of the City Nano and City L in terms of size only. In addition to resizing, it incorporates more architectural details in the design and uses stiffer leather materials.
As the 2.0 version of the classic work, Neo Classic retains the most characteristic rivet accessories and tassel leather rope decorations of the City Bag, achieving a balance between innovation and classic, giving a tougher and more personalized overall feel than the past City Bag!
