Following the rapid success of the Rodeo Bag that quickly became a popular sold-out item, Balenciaga’s new Bel Air bag for the season has also sparked discussions upon its debut. The brand recently released a new ad campaign featuring the Bel Air handbag, starring brand ambassadors Yang Ziqiong and Isabelle Huppert, along with actress Naomi Watts, in a series of photos shot by Nadav Kander.

The Balenciaga Bel Air and the popular Rodeo handbag are named after a historic and culturally rich neighborhood in Los Angeles. The bags feature a signature design element of engraved logo metal twist-lock, with a wide lock face attached to two thin straps. Each handbag is coated with a transparent matte finish, subtly highlighting the quality of the leather. Natural grained leather paired with softened Napa goat leather lining, over time, develops a charming patina with use. The overall structure appears soft but has a sturdy interior, with rounded and delicate edges. The Carry-All Tote style is equipped with three recessed flaps, secured by buckles; in closed or open position, creating additional outer pockets, presenting two different styles in one handbag.
