Sacai unveiled its second collaborative capsule collection with Carhartt WIP when it released its 2024 Spring/Summer series last June. Now, we are revealing the collection pieces and release date all at once for you!
This sacai x Carhartt WIP collaboration series consists of a total of 18 items, continuing the design of the first series, also based on practicality. Iconic workwear-inspired pieces are deconstructed and reinterpreted into unique hybrid silhouettes, combining Carhartt WIP’s iconic canvas fabric with sacai’s wool blend suiting fabric and seam techniques. The joined fabrics present a “inside-out” look, with the usually inner canvas fabric now visible on the surface.
The design combines different shades of fabrics, embodying sacai’s mixed aesthetics, while subtle elements such as triple stitching, rolled edges, and pocket details run throughout the collection, including reversible Duck Coat, canvas fabric incorporated into sacai’s classic design women’s coat, and workwear jumpsuit.
