The new store is located in the Elements Mall, covering an area of 1,506 square feet. When you enter the store, you will find yourself in a circular space designed with reference to the architectural style of museums. Natural materials are used, including blue quartzite marble and oak for the creation of totems, presenting a sense of primitive simplicity in three dimensions. The satin steel frame takes on a winding shape, following the lines and curves of the architecture, while connecting the local limestone floor and walls, maintaining a balance between the natural and the non-natural. The walls are mainly in white, off-white, and sandy brown, showcasing fluidity and intimacy, drawing inspiration from the famous architect Eero Saarinen’s design of the General Motors Technical Center and the immersive installation “Skyspace” by the contemporary American artist James Turrell.
Creative Directors Lucie and Luke Meier said, “We want to create an atmosphere first and then design architectural-style spaces. Hong Kong represents modernity and has always inspired our imagination.”
The store’s collection is complete, with a wide range of clothing and accessories, including women’s and men’s collections, limited editions such as Jil Sander+, knitwear collections, and a section for shoes and handbags.
The 7 Days Shirts collection, in particular, is a reimagined shirt series designed specifically for different emotions and identity roles throughout the 7 days of the week. Each shirt is creatively named after a day of the week, and as the weekend approaches, the silhouette of the shirts gradually softens, extends, and expands. This includes changes in details such as pockets, chest patches, and box pleats. The tailored fit gradually becomes looser, and all shirts are equipped with exquisite mother-of-pearl buttons, showcasing attention to detail throughout.
Jil Sander’s handbag collection has always been loved by fashionable girls. The Cannolo handbag is inspired by the Italian dessert Cannoli, combining exquisite craftsmanship and careful materials for a simple and elegant look.
