After surprising everyone by announcing the launch of her personal fashion brand “Atelier Jolie” in June of this year, Angelina Jolie has revealed that her first collaboration will be with Chloé for a limited edition collection. Now, the Chloé x Atelier Jolie collaboration has finally unveiled more details! The collection focuses on evening wear, combining graceful and elegant cuts with exquisite fabrics to create meaningful and timeless designs that celebrate the sincere resonance between women.
The collection was created by former creative director Gabriela Hearst and Angelina Jolie at Chloé’s creative workshop, drawing inspiration from various qualities of women and referencing Angelina Jolie’s cherished clothing collection, including a white embroidered cotton jumpsuit that she wore as a child and has now been transformed into a top, as well as a black velvet cape. The collection combines the brand’s delicate elements with Angelina Jolie’s minimalist taste, offering jumpsuits, casual suits, elegant coats, and luxurious mix-and-match pieces.
The series is mainly in neutral tones, suitable for different skin tones, and offers a variety of sizes to accommodate different body types. The most eye-catching pieces in the series include a black velvet long cape, a white high-necked dress that sways in the wind, and a sleek black three-piece suit, all of which embody a minimalist style that stands the test of time and are essential pieces for a versatile wardrobe.
The collaboration also continues Atelier Jolie’s mission to provide internship opportunities for refugees and other overlooked talents, and therefore joins forces with La Fabrique Nomade, a social project in Paris. French refugee and immigrant craftsmen participate in the production of the wave-shaped mesh embroidery on the white cotton vest, embodying Angelina Jolie’s longstanding commitment to humanitarianism.
The Chloé x Atelier Jolie collection will be available at Chloé stores and the official website Chloe.com starting from January 2024. In order to further embody the cooperative’s purpose, Angelina Jolie will donate the proceeds from the collaboration series.
