FENTY x PUMA is making a strong comeback!
Rihanna and PUMA have been collaborating since 2015, launching the iconic Creeper sneakers that have continuously disrupted the sportswear fashion trend. In the spring/summer of 2018, they collaborated for the last time. After a five-year gap, Puma announced that Rihanna will be returning with her personal brand, Fenty, and they will be launching a new collaborative shoe called Avanti.
The FENTY x PUMA Avanti shoes this time focus on the original intention of Fenty x Puma. The inspiration for the shoes comes from the first PUMA King football shoes born in 1968, which were also worn by classic football players such as Eusebio, Pelé, and Maradona. Later in 1978, PUMA introduced the brand new running shoes PUMA Miele, which later evolved into PUMA Easy Rider. This classic collaboration shoe also served as the design inspiration for PUMA’s Avanti in 2001. Now in 2023, Rihanna has injected her personal design language and creative concept into these shoes, from the details of the leather upper to the combination of the outsole materials, giving the classic silhouette of PUMA a touch of Rihanna’s unique style.
Rihanna: “I want to bring some iconic retro elements from PUMA’s design archives to the streets, and the legendary figure Pelé makes Avanti even more classic and representative.”

The FENTY x PUMA Avanti features a soft retro leather upper in a cream color, with design details carved into the upper using stitching techniques. It is complemented by an eye-catching foldable tongue, embossed with gold foil FENTY and PUMA logos. The caramel-colored rubber outsole pays homage to PUMA’s rich history and tradition in football, and it is available in classic black and silver colorways. This fashionable footwear is suitable for both men and women, and it is available in adult and children’s sizes, allowing for stylish parent-child outfits.
The collaborative shoe collection will be available on the official website on September 15th and will be released in selected stores on September 16th. The second installment of Avanti will be launched this autumn, so those who are interested should stay tuned!
