Dior, which has been holding fashion shows around the world, announced that it will hold its 2023 autumn fashion show in Mumbai, India.
Dior has previously held fashion shows around the world, such as in Spain and Morocco. For Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative director of women’s fashion, each collection is an opportunity to connect different fields of craftsmanship, ancient traditions, and the most forward-thinking innovative techniques. The 2023 Autumn Women’s Fashion Show, which will take place on March 30, 2023, will be held in Mumbai, India.

Maria Grazia Chiuri specifically chose India, or more specifically, the historical landmark Gateway of India in Mumbai, as the extraordinary destination for her fashion show, as a tribute to the visionary spirit of Christian Dior and its successors’ deep respect for this country, while also celebrating the new and unique homage to Indian craftsmanship.
Gateway of India is an arch monument built in 1911, which is a symbol of Mumbai and holds great significance as a local landmark. It was constructed to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary and combines architectural elements from 16th century Gujarat and Indian Saracenic style.
