New luxury shopping experience! Gucci’s store on Guangdong Road has reopened after renovation, bringing the first VIP men’s section in Greater China. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the brand held an opening event last week, inviting celebrities such as Louis Koo, Ekin Cheng, Joey Yung, Rainky Wai, Venus Wong, and many other fashion icons and influencers to attend. The atmosphere was grand.
The evening event was thoughtfully designed to allow guests to experience the rich Hong Kong sentiment and Cantonese culture, as well as create more “Instagrammable” moments. This includes camera filters inspired by the 90s Hong Kong disco culture. To enhance the disco culture style, DJ Suki was invited to spin the decks, and the “Hong Kong DJ Godfather” DJ Kulu was specially invited for an impromptu performance, drawing inspiration from authentic Hong Kong snacks such as red bean ice and egg waffles. In addition, the brand also customized hand-carved sparrows for the guests, engraved with the word “Kowloon,” paying tribute to the Canton Road of the 90s.
The newly renovated store brings a more elevated shopping experience, with a three-story space covering over 12,000 square feet. The completely revamped exterior features a grand marble facade that reflects light throughout the surrounding environment. The brand logo, adorned with colorful geometric patterns, can be seen on the exterior walls. The interior design is equally elegant, with marble floors that echo the subtle tones and geometric shapes of the exterior walls, drawing inspiration from the designs commonly found in ancient architecture. The decorative patterns on the hand-painted wooden floors are taken from the details of the brand’s collection, while the soft and rich colors of the fabric walls complement the ivory-colored wood inlays, creating a delicate backdrop for the displayed products. The use of clean lines and low-saturation colors adds an extra touch of elegance and understated charm to the space.
The exhibited series are quite complete, including men’s and women’s clothing, luggage bags, handbags, shoes, watches and jewelry, Décor & Lifestyle lifestyle items, and even perfumes. In addition to the exclusive styles of the 2023 Spring/Summer collection, the Guangdong Road store is also the first specialty store in the Greater China region to have a VIP men’s section, providing a personalized shopping experience.
