The establishment of International Polar Bear Day aims to call for global attention to the survival environment of polar bears and the ecological issues in the Arctic. To celebrate this important day, Canada Goose, together with Italian contemporary artist Paola Pivi and long-term partner Polar Bears International (PBI), has collaborated this spring to create a limited capsule collection, hoping to once again raise awareness of climate change and the threats faced by polar bears and their Arctic habitat.

Italian artist Paola Pivi’s works are bold and striking, known for their visual impact. They span different creative mediums such as sculpture, installation, photography, and performance art. One of her most representative artworks is the colorful polar bear sculpture, which was first exhibited at the “We are the baby gang” exhibition in 2019. This limited edition capsule collection takes inspiration from the colorful polar bear, and Paola Pivi collaborates with Canada Goose to create a unique camouflage print, weaving together unexpected visual effects.
The series consists of seven items, including the Atwood vest, made from lightweight tear-resistant fabric and 100% recycled nylon, capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions such as strong winds and rain; the Minden jacket, which is in Arctic white with a pink polar bear cub design on the back and a camouflage print of polar bears on the inside, as well as windproof jackets, fleece tops, classic Muskoka crewnecks, and accessories such as fisherman hats and down scarves. Whether for outdoor adventures or urban commuting, the capsule collection allows for layered styling, providing both protection against inclement weather and ultimate comfort.
It is worth mentioning that Canada Goose will donate a portion of the proceeds from each item sold to PBI to support and protect the habitat of polar bears.
