Louis Vuitton is about to launch its first baby collection, bringing a variety of lively and elegant designs that are soft and comfortable to the touch. Whether it’s for a new member of the family or a friend who has just had a baby, it is believed to be the perfect gift.
The baby collection turns meaningful moments into precious memories, with a complete range of clothing, shoes, accessories, and baby products. It combines the exquisite craftsmanship and excellent quality of multiple Louis Vuitton workshops, with a cute and sweet, joyful atmosphere. The collection interprets the brand’s distinctive elements, injecting new ideas into classic designs, and the featured Meli-Melo pattern reassembles the Monogram pattern in a seemingly casual way.
The inspiration for the Baby Collection comes from Louis Vuitton’s history, modern spirit, and visual design elements. In the 1930s, the Louis Vuitton store on the Champs-Élysées established the Salon de Jouets toy section, officially introducing toys into the fashion realm of Louis Vuitton. In recent years, the brand has also drawn inspiration from the wonderful things encountered during childhood and countless new discoveries, using them as inspiration for the Core Values advertising series.
The clothing in the baby series is designed for babies aged 12 months and below, including onesies, sets, bodysuits, pajamas, dresses, and reversible hooded jackets. The jacket pockets are adorned with Monogram flower patterns, while the inside is embellished with Meli-Melo patterns, allowing babies to effortlessly have a fashionable and cute look. Whether it’s the mother-of-pearl buttons on the cotton cashmere cardigan, delicate embroidery on the lantern pants and bodysuits, or subtle Monogram jacquard decorations and Monogram prints on satin, every detail is meticulously crafted.
Two shoe styles are adorned with Monogram pattern cut-out details, as well as knitted sandals and floral sun hats, scarves, socks, and other small accessories. The collection also introduces two packaging boxes, including a small suitcase and a baby gear bag, which are made with the same color jacquard fabric instead of traditional gauze, and embellished with leather details and yellow rolled edges. The Louis teddy bear is made with jacquard fabric, featuring Monogram flower eyes and a radiant smile, which is sure to be loved by children. It is worth mentioning that the materials used in the collection are specially selected for babies, with a comfortable texture and durable quality. The materials comply with Louis Vuitton’s responsible sourcing commitment and meet multiple environmental standards, including organic cotton and Leather Working Group (LWG) certified leather standards, while cashmere and wool come from partners that ensure animal welfare. The new collection will debut in March of this year.
