Balenciaga collaborates with the band Pink Martini to launch a music collaboration series.

Since 2020, Balenciaga has collaborated with Apple Music, during which time the brand’s creative director Demna periodically invites artists and musicians to co-curate exclusive playlists. Following German heavy metal band Rammstein, American drag queen RuPaul, French singer Aya Nakamura, and electronic music group Acid Arab, the latest collaborator is the band Pink Martini.

Pink Martini was founded by bandleader and pianist Thomas M. Lauderdale in 1994. Drawing inspiration from music around the world, their unique feature is the fusion of jazz, classical, Latin, and classical pop styles and languages, and they are adept at using music as a way to make political statements.

To celebrate this collaboration, photographer Francois Prost shot a series of interesting images, capturing Pink Martini fans wearing limited edition clothing. Hoodies and long-sleeve t-shirts featuring the Pink Martini emblem and a design of a globe with an airplane circling it, with “Balenciaga Music Merch” printed below. In addition, the clothing also features the names of the band’s two albums “Hang On Little Tomato” and “Je dis oui!”, as well as the classic track “Je ne veux pas travailler”, and the cities where each Pink Martini member is from.

Pink Martini 是次為 Balenciaga 創建的獨家歌單已登陸 Apple Music;Balenciaga x Pink Martini 限量聯名系列亦已在品牌官網和指定專門店發售。,有興趣的不妨留意。
