Kim Kardashian and Alexa Demie featured in Balenciaga’s winter collection ad.

Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2022 fashion show, creative director Demna brought the snow scene to the runway, models struggled to walk in the blizzard, exploring the issue of climate change, expressing that the future climate may only be experienced through simulated simulation.

The brand’s recent winter 22 series advertising campaign further elaborates on the theme of this series, set in the ever-changing seasons, such as street scenes in a snowstorm, deserted deserts, melting glaciers, a forest of autumn leaves, and bustling Japanese streets. The campaign’s still images were shot by Daniel Roché, featuring a group of brand friends including Kim Kardashian, “Euphoria” actress Alexa Demie, Korean singer Big Matthew, model Khadim Sock, and volleyball player Kim Yun-jung.

The advertisement showcases a variety of key items in the collection, such as the Crush handbag, HD sneakers, Swing handbag, Knife Wader boots, Trash tote bag, and Glove high-heeled boots, as well as a mix of elastic material one-piece dresses, optical illusion effect suspender dresses, towel fabric shawls, XXXL hoodies, synthetic feather long scarves, layered outerwear, and faux fur coats. Models wearing these items create a strong contrast with their surroundings, wearing layered looks under the scorching sun and simple clothing in the freezing cold, providing a unique visual experience and once again drawing attention to the issue of climate change.
