After Bottega Veneta’s creative director Matthieu Blazy took office, he delivered an impressive report card for the brand’s first 2022 autumn and winter collection, starting with a clean white vest and jeans, reinterpreting the minimalist aesthetics and the brand’s core leather craftsmanship.
With the launch of the Autumn/Winter series, the first Winter 22 advertisement conceptualized by Matthieu Blazy has been released. The camera not only captures the experience of photographers and cinematographers from different fields, but also young filmmakers who have never shot fashion advertisements before, showcasing a variety of perspectives and bringing a fresh, spontaneous visual sense.
From photographers and cinematographers to models, starting from the backstage of fashion shows, from the Saint-Feuillien Church in Milan, to the Horst Festival in Belgium, and back to Italy, ending on the southern coast. Through a multi-week production shoot, photographers and models interacted and built relationships, each conveying their experiences, moments, and stories to the brand. This advertising campaign brings Matthieu Blazy’s concept of dynamic craftsmanship and static power to life through 41 primarily film-shot static and motion images.
