The long pandemic has brought heavy pressure and anxiety to everyone, making people nostalgic for the carefree and happy days of the past. Since 2017, Loewe has launched the Paula’s Ibiza series every year, each time bringing joy, happiness, and the colorful charm of Ibiza.
Ibiza is not only the name of the island of Ibiza, but it can also be interpreted as a paradise away from reality; as in previous seasons, the collection once again leads everyone into a parallel world full of infinite possibilities. Creative director Jonathan Anderson said that this season also brings a sensual feeling, with styles that are not limited to gender, short hems, lace, and cut-out designs that look playful and unconstrained, bright colors and shiny sequins also evoke a carefree party atmosphere.
The key styles of this season’s collection, such as jumpsuits, t-shirts, shorts, and wide-knit pullovers, have been given a more glamorous design, with dresses and tops embroidered with sequins; crochet, Japanese hand-woven fabrics, and tie-dye faded denim, all have handmade characteristics; in terms of color matching, deliberately contrasting fresh pure white with shiny sequins, orange, pink, red, green, and other bright colors to balance the visual effect.
In terms of accessories, the focus is on playfulness and vibrant colors, including sequined platform sandals that evoke a party atmosphere, casual woven straw shoes, and the new version of the Flow Runner sneakers in flat woven fabric; Classic bags like Puzzle, Hammock, Amazona, and Goya are gradient-colored, echoing the enchanting colors of the island’s dusk sunset. As for the Flamenco handbag, it is given a new look with denim fabric.
Additionally, this season’s gradient colors and interesting geometric details are also applied to both large handbags and bucket bag styles. A series of clothing items immerse people in a party and festive atmosphere, revealing a carefree vibe.
