“Environmental protection” and “sustainable development” have become key fashion terms in recent years, and Miu Miu’s “Upcycled by Miu Miu” project launched at the end of last year has recently announced a collaboration with Levi’s to recreate a series of selected denim clothing. They have also invited “The Crown” actress Emma Corrin, as well as models Lila Moss and Georgia Palmer, to personally showcase a variety of playful style designs.
This collaboration series recreates the retro Levi’s® 501 men’s jeans and Trucker denim jacket from the 1980s to 1990s MADE IN USA, while Miu Miu reinterprets the style between masculine and feminine, adding a playful and cute feminine element to the originally masculine design.
Besides changing the leather label to pink, Miu Miu also brings more personalized details to denim pieces, such as embellishments with Miu Miu crystals, pearls, flowers, and artificial diamond embroidery, paired with lantern sleeves, artistic floral pattern leather patches, or ivory white silk satin cuffs on jeans, as well as white lace collars on Trucker denim jackets.
Such a retro yet cute design, I believe will bring surprises to girls!
