Inspired by the Spanish island of Ibiza, LOEWE’s Paula’s Ibiza series has been releasing new designs every year since 2017, and this year is no exception with the launch of the new Paula’s Ibiza 2021 collection, bringing tropical summer vibes into urban life.
This year’s new Paula’s Ibiza collection is filled with creative director Jonathan Anderson’s summer memories and a fashion attitude of escaping reality and seeking freedom. The parrot, dove, and saffron patterns on the jumpsuits, hoodies, drawstring shorts, and loose-fitting trousers in the collection are inspired by the classic nature prints of Paula’s founders Armin Heinemann and Stuart Rudnik, while also complementing crochet elements. The specially treated jackets are faded as if they were sun-bleached, and the tops and robes feature loose and asymmetrical silhouettes, creating a relaxed, casual feeling that echoes the theme of escaping the mundane and longing for a free-spirited beach life.
The series also includes a variety of woven handbags, such as the Anagram woven basket handmade by Colombian female artisans using Iraca palm fiber, the Balloon and Pochette handbags embellished with lotus leaf edges woven from wine coconut fiber. In the Hammock, Balloon, and Gate handbags, you can find a combination of light brown, dark blue canvas, and brown calf leather, embodying the series’ mixed matching technique.
In addition, there are tote bags, coin purses, canvas patchwork Anagram leather grass woven shoes and other woven style items, metal dice inlaid cowhide sandals, hand-stitched thick-soled sandals, as well as canvas fisherman hats, diving mask-shaped sunglasses and other fashionable accessories, exuding a summer vibe.
LOEWE brings the Paula’s Ibiza 2021 pop-up store to Landmark Atrium in Central from now until April 27, allowing everyone to experience the carefree summer vibe from a range of fashionable items.
