Does fall and winter have to be all about cool or muted colors? Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with Alex Israel in designing a textile collection proves otherwise! Los Angeles artist Alex Israel has always enjoyed incorporating a variety of colors into his work. Following previous collaborations on the Artycapucines handbags and Les Colognes Perfumes packaging, his latest series designed in partnership with Louis Vuitton showcases his vibrant and eye-catching aesthetic.

The textile series includes 8 scarves, shawls, blankets, and headbands, with many scarves based on Alex’s famous “Wave” series, transforming the elegant and charming scarves into avant-garde styles. The Wave scarf utilizes innovative stitching techniques, adding a soft padding on one side to create a three-dimensional texture of the artwork, while the other side is covered with the brand’s monogram pattern.

As for the shawl, it combines digital printing technology with Alex’s classic painting “Sky Backdrop” to create a printed pattern that is both fashionable and comfortable. The headband is inspired by Alex’s bronze sculpture “Desperado,” featuring desert scenes, cacti, and cars on one side, and a mix of monogram patterns and Sky Backdrop prints on the other side, vibrant and innovative. The entire collection has been available for sale at selected stores since June 28th.
