These two brands have no common ground, so how did they come together to create this new collection? Simone Rocha believes that protection is the core value of Moncler, so the collection shifted from a focus on details to a greater consideration of protective clothing. The series is based on creating uniforms suitable for wearing in nature, drawing inspiration from girl scout uniforms and handicrafts. For example, transforming full silhouettes into capes, incorporating floral embroidery with a natural feel, and adding highly protective and adjustable down capes.
Of course, the luxurious romanticism of Simone Rocha cannot be ignored, with feminine pieces such as ruffled dresses, daisy-patterned puffer jackets, and layered coats showcasing the perfect blend of romanticism and outdoor functionality. Additionally, the accessories and outdoor gear in the collection are worth noting, such as knitted headbands and sleeping bags adorned with Simone Rocha’s iconic pearl embellishments, as well as layered tote bags.
