MCM recently held the global premiere of the documentary “The Remix: Hip Hop X Fashion” produced in collaboration with Tribeca Studios at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, showcasing the origins of hip hop culture and delving into its pioneering role in changing fashion.

“The Remix: Hip Hop X Fashion” film documents MCM’s new global creative partner and renowned fashion creator Misa Hylton’s fashion journey from New York to Paris, exploring significant events along the way, including creating a full leather outfit for Beyoncé with MCM. It also blends haute couture with streetwear, pioneering a new fashion culture.

This documentary specifically takes inspiration from Misa Hylton, such as Lil Kim, Mary J. Blige, and Missy Elliot, showcasing her most well-known styles, revealing how many female designers and stylists have been influenced by her created fashion trends, proving the creativity of black people, striving to change the long-standing cultural neglect of the contributions of colored races to the spirit of generations.
