Flowers in Wonderland

by

There are countless personalities in the world, trying to understand everyone’s heart may take several lifetimes and still not fully comprehend this profound knowledge. Just like the world of plants, each type of flower has its own beauty. Some say that flowers represent different personalities – romantic, understated, energetic. By projecting human characteristics onto flowers, they stimulate various metaphors and what we call the language of flowers. Would you fall in love with a certain flower because of its language?

This fashion feature invited former Hong Kong swimming team representative Teresa Chung and fashion blogger Anthe to host a floral party in a fresh style, exploring their own flower language together.

Teresa Chung: “I like hydrangeas, they require more care than regular flowers.”

Teresa, who used to represent the swimming team, has already developed an interest in fashion since childhood. Upon graduating from university, she has enrolled in a master’s program in fashion buying, hoping to make a career in the fashion industry. “In fact, I had a strong interest in fashion during high school, so I wanted to study fashion buying, selecting eye-catching pieces and introducing what I think is good to the public.” Teresa loves hydrangeas very much. In addition to being attracted by its beauty, there is a characteristic that makes Teresa fall in love. “I like hydrangeas. They require careful care, more water than ordinary flowers. If we don’t understand them, they will wither.”

As for Teresa herself, she feels like a succulent plant. “My family took very good care of me since I was young. I was like a protected animal. So when I grew up, I wanted to be more independent, like a succulent plant. I don’t need constant care, but I can still grow healthily.”

Ouyang Shuxin: “I think the first time I received flowers in my life was when I was proposed to.”

Girls are not immune to flowers, every time they see them, they will be delighted. So how could they resist receiving flowers? However, Ouyang Shuxin (@anthe126) is an exception. “Just because I love flowers so much, I want to receive them for the first time on the most important day, so that I can feel fulfilled.” How could a girl’s important day not be related to marriage? “Receiving flowers for the first time during a proposal is particularly meaningful to me. What I most hope for is to receive black roses, because they feel both modern and classical, which complements the grandeur of a proposal.”

Anthe, who just visited Spain, was attracted by the local historical sites. “Traveling is about exploring the historical landmarks of the place, understanding their stories, only then can one truly get to know the city.” Anthe even describes herself using sunflowers, “Its flower language is faith and loyalty, just like I am always full of positive energy, and approach everything with the most loyal attitude, so that I can live a wonderful and regret-free life.”

Against a simple and fresh backdrop, Anthe and Teresa put on colorful and stylish clothing, holding flowers, showcasing their elegant and noble side.
