Unrestricted by gender, expressing oneself with unique ideas has become the prevailing perspective in today’s world. This year, the jewelry industry advocates for Gender Fluid creative concepts. The always innovative EMPHASIS breaks the traditional impression and framework of “ladies’ patent” jewelry, creating the M “Crown” series, Manon “Fusion” series, and MMXXI “Beyond” series that advocate for neutral fashion. By interpreting the charm beyond gender, they showcase a new aesthetic sense of the era, inviting the two distinctive actors Hanna Chen and singer-songwriter Manson Zhang to personally interpret the series’ styles, expressing their unique and captivating charm.
In this creation, EMPHASIS hopes to break the gender stereotypes of jewelry, suggesting that every concept, every design should complement individual charm, using shapes to tell each individual’s unique story. This brings out the assertion of modern aesthetics, emphasizing that pearl necklaces should no longer be limited to “ladies’ patents,” and that men can also be beautiful and charming.
The three major series each symbolize different aesthetic viewpoints of EMPHASIS, with the M “Crown” series and the Manon “Fusion” series drawing inspiration from the natural characteristics of men, creating a variety of stylish designs. The former draws design inspiration from the brand logo, using simple lines to create geometric angles, incorporating the image of a crown and deconstructing and reassembling the letter “M” to create a series of rings, earrings, necklaces, and other accessories; the Manon “Fusion” series created by New York designer Vanessa Chow focuses on the balance of strength and softness in men’s nature, using the self-developed Ecruloy® silk forging alloy combined with black diamonds to create a range of simple, understated and solid accessories.
The MMXXI “Beyond” series, known for its neutral aesthetics, has collaborated with the renowned fashion brand ANAÏS JOURDEN. The series combines the classic contours of jewelry with the forward-thinking concepts of fashion, creating a variety of stylish accessories that exude the grandeur of precious metals, such as iconic 18K two-tone gold diamond earrings and rings; hand-adorned pearl studs, and the avant-garde gold and silver diamond necklace that is emblematic of the collection, seamlessly blending the gender allure of both men and women.
